If you’re interested in how did we get here. Well, this is the perfect place to spill our love story.

It’s interesting how the world works. In our case, we were living on different continents (Europe - Czech Republic & America) for the most our of lives. Fast-forward and you’ll see two young(er) people moving to Switzerland to start a new chapter in their lives. Of course we didn’t meet right away, our paths took us in many different directions before they finally intertwined in 2022. And just like that, we happened to meet at the right moment in our lives.

So where did our story actually begin? A rainy first date on which we shared our love for Pizza and beer, that’s where we met the first time and things just clicked. This may sound too good to be true, but to the doubters I ask this, do you know what magic great pizza can do? Speaking of magic, I really want a magician at the wedding. Okay well, now back to it. I know this is getting a bit long, so let’s fast-forward again to a 2024 ski-trip in Zermatt. A place where I (yes I, this is Lauren writing if you haven’t already realised) hold very dear to my heart. Maybe because of the memories of family vacations or maybe because I climbed that iconic Toblerone mountain, but it’s safe to say that Zermatt means so much more to both of us now.

After a blizzard ruined the first ski-day engagement plans, day number two was much more successful. After quick lunch in Italy, we skied back to Switzerland and tried again to find slope #69. This slope supposedly should have had the best view of the Matterhorn. We almost gave up, when we decided to just go off the slope completely and free-ride to find the perfect spot. After laying in the snow and soaking in the views on a perfectly sunny day, the song Yellow (by Coldplay -duh) started to sound through the nature. And well yea, that’s where it happened. And SPOILER ALERT - I said yes!

The years we have spent together have been filled with laughter, adventure, and now even the newest addition to our little family, JJ! He’s the cutest little clingy stray dog that you could ever imagine. By the way, we are still contemplating if he’ll be carrying the rings down the aisle.
